Optimizing the Keywords tag
The purpose of this tag is to define what keywords apply to your page. However, only some search engines, such as MSN, will
read this tag. Search engines such as Yahoo! and Google do not place a great importance on it as they do with keywords identified in other areas of the page. Still, it is good practice to include this tag, plus MSN is a popular search engine channel and therefore you should generally include a META keyword tag on your page within the < HEAD > area.
Optimizing the Description tag
The content found in the META Description tag will be displayed in many, but not all, search engines in the result pages. It is is often listed as a sub-headline under your page title. Therefore, it is essential that you create a good description so that you not only support your keyword ranking goals but entice targeted visitors to click through to your site once they see the listing in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
